Even when energy prices have dropped for the short term, the long term trend shows that they will rise. And that is not the only reason why more and more people are turning to public transport. Many experts argue that we are on the brink of a fundamental shift in mobility behaviour. Since 2008 and for the first time in history, more than half of the world's population lives in urban areas.

That means a growing demand for public transport companies and the necessity to increase capacity. At the same time, the market is becoming increasingly defined by pressure to reduce costs and a strained personnel market with high levels of fluctuation. An efficient staffing policy is therefore becoming more important than ever before.
